19/07/11: JM - ""We scored a great goal from a really good move and if we can score goals like that every week we will be delighted.

Jim McIntyre gave his opinion on the game and the wet weather that hit it for the last hour:-

"It became a wee bit of a farce in the second half but it was a great workout. I thought in the first half hour we played really well. Huddersfield are a good side and you can see that they are really comfortable on the ball; strong and quick.

"We scored a great goal from a really good move and if we can score goals like that every week we will be delighted. You take a goal anyway, shape or form. I felt we gave them just a wee bit too much room towards the tail end of the first half and the beginning of the second. Overall I am very pleased."

The match would definitely not have finished had it been a competitive one:-

"The referee said that he would leave it to the managers discretion. Myself and Lee (Clark) just said that we would rather get the run out. I thought the players on both sides were quite clever and didn't jump into things. They knew that it was tricky but both managers wanted to get the 90 minutes in."

The Manager explained that Nick Phinn has tweaked his hamstring ever so slightly but should fine soon:-

"He did a wee bit of light jogging before the game and should be fine in a couple of days. We have been really fortunate in pre season on the injury front, that's all you can ask."

This was Dunfermline's last game before their first SPL game against St Mirren. Jim McIntyre is pleased with the shape of the squad and with the match not scheduled until Monday the squad will see their day off swapped about:-

"We will be in tomorrow and Thursday, off Friday and then in Saturday, Sunday like you would normally do, then play the game on Monday. I will go and watch a game on Saturday and maybe even Sunday. That's the beauty of the Premier League, you can almost go to a match every day of the week!"
