The 20 year old Englishman signed as an amateur at the end of March 2011 for the remainder of the 2010-2011 season. The young attacker was banging in the goals for Dundee as a trialist including an equaliser against Dunfermline on 22 March, which brought him to the attention of Pars manager Jim McIntyre.

For the Dark Blues he scored 3 goals in 2 games before joining up with Jim McIntyre's squad for the win at Ross County on 29 March. Jake started his career at Swindon Town, went out on loan to Weymouth, before making 34 appearances for Barnet in season 2009-10. More recently he played for Blue Square Premier League side Hayes & Yeading United.
