DAFC Chairman John Yorkston has confirmed that the search for a new manager is now complete and the club is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Kenny who will join Dunfermline from Derry City in Ireland. Stephen will take over the reins from current caretaker manager Craig Robertson at the forthcoming game against Dundee Utd on the 18th November.

Stephen Kenny (35) has enjoyed huge success over the past 8 years in Irish football. In 2004/05 he saved Derry City from relegation, then went on to challenge for the Irish Premier Division title in 2005/6, finishing runner up. He also led Derry City in their UEFA Cup campaign this season where the club recorded home and away victories over IFK Gothenburg followed by an 8-3 aggregate win over Gretna in the following round.

Stephen Kenny, began his managerial career in 1999 at Longford Town, guiding the club to promotion to the Irish Premier division in his first season in charge. In season 2000/01 Stephen led Longford to European qualification for the first time in the club's history. Stephen was appointed manager of Bohemians F.C. in November 2002 and in his first full season with Bohemians (2002/03) the club won the Irish Premier League.
