Everyone at Dunfermline Athletic FC is saddened to hear of the passing of Walter Logie.
‘Wattie’ was a well known face around KDM Group East End Park in his role as Club Safety Officer, ensuring the safety of supporters at home matches. He was also hugely respected across Scottish football as an important figure in the Football Safety Officers’ Association Scotland.
Earlier in his career, Wattie managed Kelty Hearts between 1984-1987 and continued to be a popular figure at New Central Park.
Yesterday, at our away match against Airdrieonians, the playing squad wore black armbands as a mark of respect.Â
Our thoughts are with Wattie’s family and friends at this difficult time.
