Sam Fisher

Sam Fisher agreed a three year deal with the Pars in June 2023.

Sam originally joined Dunfermline on a season long loan from Dundee on 16 August 2022 but was recalled early by his parent club in January 2023 after making 17 appearances for the Fifers, all but two of which were starts.

Consequently last season Sam found himself in the rather unique position of picking up League winners medal with both Dundee and Dunfermline.

A central defender who started his football career off at Gairdoch United. Sam joined Alloa Athletic but was soon signed by Dundee at under 18 level.  A regular in the Dee’s under 18s and Reserve teams during 2018/19, he was involved in the first team set up the following season.

It was James McPake who gave Sam Fisher his Dundee debut, starting the 19 year old in the Championship match away to Raith Rovers on 30 January 2021 in between two loan periods at Forfar.  James was pleased to bring him to Dunfermline and after what turned out to be a ‘try before you buy’ is now delighted to secure the services of the defender.
