DAFC are proud to partner with The Community Heating Project a local Fife based fund where 100% of the money raised goes towards helping local, vulnerable people with their heating and hot water. This could be fixing a broken boiler, replacing condemned boilers, or ensuring everything works efficiently to reduce costs over winter. They also help to install household items such as gas cookers, washing machines, and bathroom essentials such as baths, showers, sinks, toilets.
Alister Burn, DAFC Commercial Manager “A lot of our supporters will stretch beyond their means to come along and support the team on a Saturday and that doesn’t go unnoticed. When we were presented with the opportunity to get involved with the project everyone at the club stepped up including personal donations from the players and management, and bucket collections by the Pars Foundation walk and talk group. This has allowed us to raise awareness for the project and the funds needed to install the first boiler system.”
Graeme Robertson, from TCHP ” I am delighted to be able to partner with Alister and DAFC on The Community Heating Project. I can’t thank them enough for their support and generosity with this initiative, it means a lot. DAFC is going above and beyond to help its supporters and the local area with their involvement and contributions to this project. Our main aim is to help those in our local community who are struggling with the cost of living crisis with their broken heating systems, nobody should have to choose between eating and heating. We hope that this partnership with DAFC will help us raise awareness and donations to ensure that The Community Heating Project can continue to carry out helping the local community.”
If you, or someone you know has a broken boiler and would like to be considered to receive the boiler system please email: [email protected] or call us on 01383 435 993
Please include the following:
1. Are you the homeowner and live in Fife?
2. Is your boiler broken?
3. Are you in fuel poverty and can’t afford to have your boiler replaced?
4. Is it a combi boiler that you have?
**Please note that due to the cost of a replacement and because of the type of boiler kindly provided by City Plumbing Rosyth, your current system must be a broken combi boiler**
All applications will be assessed by the RGM Heating specialists and the install will be chosen using their criteria. All applicants will be contacted as you may be eligible for other help, support, and guidance.
Whilst we have funded one install so far, we will continue to work with the project to raise awareness and the funds to help more supporters. You can donate to the community heating project through their Go Fund Me page:
