Dunfermline prepares for safe return to football

Future Ticketing, a leading provider of high performance ticketing software and solutions, is delighted to announce that Dunfermline Athletic FC is the latest football club to join a growing list of football clubs adopting digital technology as they prepare for a safe return to football in 2021.

Based in Fife and founded in 1885, Dunfermline Athletic Football Club is currently playing in the Scottish Championship but whose ambitions are to seek a return to top-flight football. The new partnership with Future Ticketing and its state-of-the-art digital platform is part of a wider ambition to prepare the club for the next century of football.

The technology upgrade follows an international investment in the club in 2020 with Dunfermline committed to putting the fan at the centre of the match-day experience both inside and outside of the stadium.

Future Ticketing already partners with a range of football clubs including Dundee United, Montrose FC and St Johnstone in Scotland; Arsenal Women, Barrow FC, Boreham Wood, Fleetwood Town, Rochdale AFA and Stockport County in England; and Crusaders, Larne, Linfield and Glentoran in Northern Ireland.

In Ireland and the UK, the software company partners with racecourses and is the ticketing partner for a number of rugby clubs including Connacht Rugby.

Commenting, Billy Braisby, Dunfermline Athletic FC, Vice Chairman, stated:

“We are delighted to partner with Future Ticketing to further improve the match-day experience for our supporters. Their technology and expertise will provide us with a more stable and robust platform to create efficiencies and streamline our ticketing and access operation. They already have a number of advocates within Scottish football who spoke positively about their operation and service, and we look forward to working with them moving forward.”

Commenting, Ronan Burns, Business Development Manager of Future Ticketing, said:

“We are delighted to partner with such an historic club as Dunfermline. Future Ticketing is continuing to partner with sports clubs despite the pandemic and now has over 30 professional football clubs in Scotland, England and Ireland. One of the lessons of the pandemic is that sports organisations will need to have a digital platform at the heart of their ticketing offering and to provide access for fans, and an increasing number of clubs are seeking to use this time to prepare for a safe return to football in due course.

“At Future Ticketing, our guiding philosophy is to enable our clients to take control, accountability and transparency of their customer relationships and revenue streams and our software enables them to do so. We work closely with football clubs in the digital development and modernising of their ticketing systems through Data, Analytics, Our open Rest API, Insights, and Integrations.”
