"We passed the ball very well and there was not much in the game but we lost the goal and it was a cruel defeat

"Falkirk had the better of the first half overall. They had a couple of chances and we had a great chance just before half time.

"We changed it tactically at half time and looked more comfortable in the second half.  We had lost Scott Wilson and Sol Bamba couldn't play.  We had hurt his groin yesterday and he just didn't feel right going on so we ran out of defenders really.  We played Darren Young at centre back and he did well. It was a good performance and he looked very comfortable.

"We didn't have any other options anyway, whether we had any one else on the bench is irrelevant.  We hoped that with a day's rest he (Bamba) would have been able to come on in emergency. But he didn't feel that was the case in the warm up before the game.

"We passed the ball very well and there was not much in the game but we lost the goal and it was a cruel defeat."

Stephen Kenny

Scott Wilson's withdrawal with a calf injury wasa disappointing but the Manager felt that his latest signing, Bobby Ryan, from Shelbourne had been "very influential" and "controlled the game in the second half".

"We deserved to draw the game realistically but we didn't and we have to move on.

"You are looking to get out of the situation that you are in, you can't be feeling sorry for yourself, you can't dwell on things. We had a great win against Rangers last week and showed the same spirit today.  It was a very honest performance; the integrity of the players cannot be questioned they gave everything.

"We were a little imbalanced first half, we weren't quite right but second half we were more compact, retained the ball better but just couldn't score. We didn't look like conceding to be honest but that's the way it goes.
