Preview Ross County

Saturday, 11th Aug 2018

Ladbrokes Championship, (home) Saturday 11th August 2018, 3.00pm kick off at East End Park.

Following their relegation rom the Scottish Premier League, Ross County are the guests at East End Park for the first time in the league for more than seven years. The two clubs have had contrasting fortunes since they met in March 2011 and County come south as one of the favourites to win promotion this season.

It is likely that Callum Morris and Declan McManus will turn out at East End Park in the Pars first home match of the Championship league season but for their new club, Ross County. Both started at Dingwall last Saturday in their 1-0 victory over Alloa Athletic.

Ross County`s Dutch striker, Alex Schalk opened the scoring in the third minute but Faissal El Bakhtaoui scored a cracking goal to equalise just 12 minutes later.

The visitors restored their lead from a 27th minute penalty, Brian Graham netting to make it 2-1 before new signing Brad McKay pulled it back to 2-2 only 11 minutes into the second half.

The Pars had the better opportunities after that, El Bakhtaoui had a great effort turned on to the bar and Joe Cardle tried hard to score but it just didn`t happen for him.
