The Pars record against the Highlanders is not the best and they have won only twice at Inverness in 8 visits.
Dunfermline are off up the A9 again on Saturday and they will be hoping that their opponents Inverness Caley Thistle will be easier negotiated than the three sets of traffic lights for roadworks. It is of course the club`s first visit to the Caledonian Stadium since that solemn day in May 2007 when their relegation to the First Division was settled. Jim McIntyre`s first half goal looked so promising but Hastings and McAllister netted in the second half to sink the Dunfermline hearts.

The Pars record against the Highlanders is not the best and they have won only twice at Inverness in 8 visits. The 2-1 win in April 2000 won them promotion to the Premier League after a year`s absence and the other a 3-1 win on St Patricks Day 2007 was Stephen Kenny`s first league victory after 16 attempts.
Seventeen league games have now taken place between the teams. Dunfermline have won four of them, there have been five draws and eight have ended in defeat.
[1-0] Smith (p), [2-0] Reid, [3-0] Thomson, [4-0] Petrie
Neither club have done as well as they would have liked but Terry Butcher`s men pinched the points on the opening day of the season thanks to a strike from Lee Cox in the second minute of added time.

Inverness`s home form is the worst in the division with one point from their four home games this season. A late goal at Starks Park on Tuesday night took the pressure off Terry Butcher but he will be looking to placate his home support. The Pars draw at Dingwall that same night will boost confidence especially since they played well and could have won three points had their finishing been more accurate.
