Saturday, 13th Jan 2018

Ladbrokes Championship: (home) v Dundee United, Saturday 13th January 2018, 3.00pm at East End Park.

The Pars take on Csaba László`s Dundee United. Fresh from a resounding defeat at The Falkirk Stadium United will be out to make amends while on the back of three consecutive victories the home side will be looking for another which would close the gap between them and their opponents to just four points.

It has not always been so one sided. In the 133 previous league meetings Dunfermline have 48 wins and United 51 with 36 match drawn.

Last League Match at East End Park
Saturday 30th September 2017
Dunfermline Athletic 1 Dundee United 3

It was the Championship leaders versus the Championship favourites when the Pars welcomed Dundee United to East End Park. Two goals in the ten minutes prior to half time knocked the stuffing out of the Pars.

In 35 minutes McMullan fed the ball to Jamie Robson overlapping on the left and his cross could only be parried out by Sean Murdoch and Fraser FYVIE was well positioned to fire the loose ball into the Dunfermline net. 0-1

Eight minutes later a free kick from the right proved fatal for the Pars since when it came over Edenguele nodded it down for Scott McDONALD to stick away from close range. 0-2

In the 59th minute Flood cut back for FYVIE 24 yards out to melt his effort into the top right for 0-3 and the contest was really over before Callum Smith headed home a late consolation.
