Ex-Pars players signing copies of 'Gold
Some of Dunfermline's great players from the past will be making an appearance in the Kingsgate Centre on Saturday 11th December where they
will be signing copies of the DVD 'The Golden Years' that charts the heady footballing days of the Sixties.
The story of Dunfermline Athletic's glorious decade in the Sixties is told by many of the players who contributed to the successes on the European stage and the double Scottish Cup win. Harry Melrose, Charlie Dickson, George Miller, Ron Mailer are just some of the people interviewed in the DVD about their experiences during those years.
The white hot atmosphere of a packed East End Park is caught on film, including the night that Spanish giants Valencia were beaten six two, and
one of England's most famous teams Everton were sent homeward with a one-nil defeat. The victorious 1961 and 1968 Scottish Cup wins are documented, as well as the open-topped busses making their way down Dunfermline's High Street.
Roy Barry, Harry Melrose and Ron Mailer will be in the Kingsgate between 11.00am and 1.00pm to sign copies of 'The Golden Years'. If you can't make it along on Saturday 11th December they will also be on sale the following
