29/08/08: "It is important that we get a good result since we are at home again and we need to start putting teams away at home.

Livingston v Dunfermline 11/02/06

Jim McIntyre was still assessing injuries and selection possibilities. Definitely out is Nick Phinn who serves a one match suspension and there is severe doubt over the fitness of Greg Shields, Kevin Harper and Stephen Glass who all retired early in the midweek match against Alloa.  He made it quite clear that Livingston would be formidable opponents:-

"They have done very well; that's six games in a row they have won. They are bang full of confidence and they will be difficult. I like the boy up front player, Leigh Griffiths - he is a good player. They have great experience at the back - former team mate Chris Innes, and the boy McPake - I really like him and Dave Mackay is a good player as well. Midfielder Murray Davidson is getting good reviews - they will be strong and they are not at the top end of the league for nothing.

"They have got Calum Elliot as well so they have strengthened their squad again. We will have to be at our best to beat them.

"It is important that we get a good result since we are at home again and we need to start putting teams away at home. I thought the play was good against Airdrie, we just couldn't score. If we had got one we would have gone on and won comfortably but it is all about getting that breakthrough goal.

"We are looking to win our home game and with an international week to follow, if we don't win those games it could be a long two weeks. We want to keep the momentum going and although we will give Livingston the respect they deserve we will be doing our utmost to beat them."

The Manager reflected that the league is full of tough games and the league leaders Dundee cannot expect it any easier against Queen of the South even though they have been in Denmark in midweek.

"They are all tough games; look at Aberdeen struggling to beat Ayr United 1-0, Inverness needing extra time to beat Arbroath, look at Airdrie - a team we dominated. There are no easy games and fans don't always see that."

Graeme Holmes has come through his recent operation well and is expected to return in December.
