Jim Jefferies prepares for business

Jim Jefferies is expecting to have a busy time once his budget for next season is set at Tuesday's Board Meeting. He told the website today:-

"I will set up a pre season programme for when we report back. I don't imagine the club will afford to let us go very far. There are wee things we can maybe do to have a togetherness for two or three days, but most of the bulk of the work will be here and in the surrounding areas. We have one pre season game at home against Bristol City on Wednesday 1st August that Jim McIntyre had fixed up, so we will honour that.

"There are others that we need to fit our programme but until I know what I have to spend, trips to play two or three games will probably have to be self funded. This is the busiest time for managers. Okay they will have family holidays but I know from experience that when I go away with my family they know that every single day I get phone calls. I never switch off, on holiday I will be working and the phone will never be away from my ear. That's just the way it is in football."

The SFL season is due to start on Saturday 4th August but there will be a cup tie before that so Jim is anticipating getting the players together for pre season on Monday 2nd July he added "I feel four weeks is enough for any preparation."
