"I just need the service and hopefully I can score the goals."

Jamie Mole began his football career within the boys football set up in Newcastle. He played on Sunday afternoons and got offered a few places but gauged Hearts to be the best opportunity. Jamie featured for Wide Open and Newburn before joining Hearts at the age of 16. Despite a move being on the cards for a few days, Jamie Mole arrived at Dunfermline on Saturday after his loan deal to the end of the 2008-09 season was finalised on Friday afternoon.

The Hearts striker's last full 90 minutes was on 20th September in the 1-0 victory over Inverness Caley Thistle

"I haven't really been playing very much recently.  I haven't been playing reserve football since that league shut down. I have just been coming off the bench for five or ten minutes."

His last start for Hearts was on 4th October last year in the 2-1 home defeat by Kilmarnock and his last appearance was in front of a crowd of over 56,000 people at Celtic Park. His Pars debut came in front of just 2871 souls with over 30 minutes to go in the Fourth Round Cup tie against Clyde but his desire from the move was clear:-

"I hope to get match fitness here, that's the plan. I wish I had been involved in the Hibs v Hearts match but if it means progressing with Dunfermline in the Cup I am happy with that."

Jamie will be at East End Park until the end of the season. He has played there before for Hearts and recalls the good stadium and good fans.  He closed:-

"Hopefully they will get behind me and I can get some goals."

While on loan to Livingston, Jamie Mole missed out when Hearts went all the way to the Cup Final in 2006 and was at Queen of the South a year too early to be involved with the Doonhamers Cup Final appearance.  Saturday's game pitched Jamie in against a former Hearts team mate, Alan Lithgow but that made little difference to the man with a strong Geordie accent:-

"He is just another player really and he has got good ability."

Jamie's answer to what he expects to gain from his loan spell at Dunfermline was "games, games, games. The Manager says if I take my chance I will play. There are a few strikers here who have been scoring goals so it will be hard."

Asked to describe what kind of striker he would describe himself, the 20 year old replied:-

"Fast, strong - I just need the service and hopefully I can score the goals."
