Hutton chooses Pars for the challenge

"Certainly after the first day's training session I think I am going to enjoy it and I am looking forward to it."

Kyle Hutton is really pleased with the move to Dunfermline since after returning from a 12 match spell at Partick Thistle earlier this season the 20 year old feels that his career had stalled a bit in terms of first team opportunities:-

"I felt that I needed to go out and get games in the SPL so as soon as Dunfermline came in for me I was delighted. At the start of January I asked to go out on loan but they didn't let me. I was frustrated but towards the end of the transfer window they decided to let me go out. When Dunfermline's interest was known, the manager said that he would like me to go and get as many SPL games."

Squad size and eligibility as an under 21 player possibly had a bearing on Rangers reluctance to grant the centre midfielder his loan wish at the start of January:-

"I had to sign a year extension as part of the deal to go out on loan. After this season is finished I will have another two years so there is a bit of security.

"Ally McCoist phoned me after I signed and wished me all the best. He thought it was really good for me to go to Dunfermline because it will be a lot different from the First Division. To get games in the SPL he said will benefit me and hopefully after that ~I can go back to Rangers next season and kick on."

Kyle has only one SPL start for Rangers against Dundee United at Tannadice towards the end of last season and a handful of appearances off the bench. Macca has offered the 20 year old SPL experience and his interest was confirmed by his Head of Youth:-

"I know Stephen Wright because I worked with him in the under 15s at Rangers. I got on with him really well and he phoned me as well and told me that coming here was a really good move that I would really enjoy. Certainly after the first day's training session I think I am going to enjoy it and I am looking forward to it."

Sheffield United headed a posse of clubs who were keen on signing young Kyle but in the end he had to choose between Dunfermline and St Johnstone. The words from the Pars management team made up his mind to opt to come to Fife.

"I am keen to give myself a challenge since there is a bit of pressure at Dunfermline to stay up."
