DAFC and SRJ – A Winning Team

Thursday, 31st Jul 2014

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club is delighted to announce a six year partnership agreement with SRJ Windows.

As part of our plan to create greater engagement with local businesses, the Board of DAFC wish to create strategic relationships with a number of key partners as part of a longer term plan for success, designed to create benefits to both parties, but ultimately creating added value to individual partners.

We must run the club prudently and efficiently if we are to put on the park a team who will return us to the higher echelons of Scottish football with the financial benefits that that will bring to the wider community. One of the key steps in achieving this will be by building greater engagement with local businesses.

This key strategic arrangement with SRJ covers a range of support covering advertising, sponsorship and other key benefits to both parties.

In the coming season, supporters will not only be able to see a number of prominent SRJ advertising sites inside and outside the stadium, but one of the immediate benefits of this new agreement to DAFC is the provision of new state of the art dug outs, from the same company who are currently installing new dug outs at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge.

SRJ has kindly covered the cost of installing two new, home and away, dug outs in the technical area which will house up to 16 people, six in comfortable sport seats!

SRJ’s generous offer allows our club to replace the old dug outs, which could only hold six people and were no longer fit for purpose.

In addition, SRJ will install a new entrance door to the players’ tunnel in the Norrie McCathie Stand which will further improve the look and professionalism in this area and will also sponsor Sammy The Tammy and the Ball Boys/Girls.

Ross McArthur, Director stated “I am absolutely delighted that we have managed to reach agreement with SRJ for this new long term arrangement. The terms of the agreement are obviously confidential, but what I can say is that it represents a very significant investment for our club at this time. On behalf of the Board and everyone at the football club, I would like to thank Keith and Stephen Macintosh personally for not only their support and commitment, but a genuine desire to assist their local team at this crucial time for our club.”

This was reinforced by SRJ’s Keith Macintosh, who SRJ stated “"We are proud to be supporting DAFC during this important period for the club. The people of Dunfermline and surrounding areas have been fundamental to the success of SRJ over the past 20 years and we're more than happy to lend a helping hand to our local team. We hope our partnership with the club will signal the commencement of an upturn in fortunes for the club as they strive to rebuild the club and return the team to the sharp end of Scottish football. We wish all the very best to the Pars for a successful season and a winning future."
