DAFC Launch Spotify

Thursday, 2nd Mar 2017

Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to launch the use of music platform, Spotify, which will allow supporters to download player`s favourite tracks, East End Park classics and match by match playlists.

Local music venue, PJ Molloys have agreed to come on board and sponsor the playlist until the end of season 2017/2018.

Each matchday playlists will be structured as following:

• Club choice: Tracks chosen from current players, management staff or former players
• Fan choice: Your choices sent into us via social media using the hashtag #DAFCPLAYLIST
• Local Artists: Promoting new talent & also celebrating the history of the Dunfermline music scene
• East End Classics: Classics from the terraces
• General chart and popular music

General Manager, Michael Mlotkiewicz said: “It’s great to get this in place and ready to launch ahead of the 2017/2018 season. We’ve had this in planning for over a year now, so we can’t wait to see it in practise. Music and football go hand in, music very much stirs emotion just like football, so it was important we executed this right. We are always keen to engage with supporters, so each week supporters can submit their top 5 favourite track requests via our social media accounts using the hashtag #DAFCPlaylist, a different top 5 will be picked each home match.

Calum Miller from PJ Molloys: “When the Football Club got in touch with this initiative it was definitely something we were interested in being part off. PJ Molloys is one of Scotland’s most popular music venues and gives the country`s top upcoming bands to chance to perform infront of great crowds. The fact the Football Club will also use the matchday platform to promote local music is also a massive reason for us to get involved”.

Each chosen match playlist will be promoted and available via our social media accounts and also posted here on the club official website. The playlists are available to download and listen to for supporters via Spotify, we’ll also have some great video content with management and players picking their favourite tracks.
