Come on D.A (Pars Aid) - release date 6th December 2012

Come on DA

A big thank you from everyone at DAFC to Steve McOuan, long term Pars fan and star of Dunfermline band Shamanic, who has written and recorded a brilliant new Pars song to help raise funds for the Club.

The song, Come on D.A., features the full squad, Jim Leishman and Bruce & Jamie Watson of Big Country. This is the first official Pars song since the Eastenders themed single back in 1984.

Steve commented, "I wanted to write something that would mean something to a Pars supporter, something a bit catchy that would stick in their heads, so I hope we have achieved this. The idea I had for the song was to keep it quite restrained until the very end where a big finish would capture that moment a supporter feels something to make the hairs on their neck stand up."

Kenny Arnott, Stadium Manager at DAFC added, "Steve came to me with the idea and the song and between the two of us we got Bruce and Jamie from Big Country involved and Liam Saunders kindly gave us use of his recording facilities and his production skills free of charge. We're hoping this single will really go places for us so watch this space for more involvement from local superstars Pete Agnew and Dan McCafferty of Nazareth at a later date."

Steve again, ""I would like to say that none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for everyone involved. Firstly Kenny Arnott (or Geldof as he is now known) for rallying up the troops and making sure they all arrived at the studio on time. Liam Saunders (our producer) from Loopmaniac Studio's has to get a huge thanks, the single sounds the way it does because of him. Jim Leishman as ever added his personal touch in a line which he wrote himself. Thanks to Bruce & Jamie Watson for doing what they do best and adding some subtle guitar tracks which really add some depth to the song and a massive thanks to all the players involved - we all had a great laugh and they were all up for it. Extra thanks go to Stuart Henderson for his filming inputs, photographer David Wardle and to Craig Brown and David Kirkpatrick for their input on creating an awesome Single Cover. Finally I would like to say a massive thanks to my Comrades (SHAMANIC) Kevin Guthrie, Ross Paton and Dave Bernthal, without them I'm just a singer/songwriter."
