Centenary Club Lifeline

Friday, 6th Jul 2018

The Centenary Club Lifeline continues to be one of, if not the largest, contributor to Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. That is all thanks to you, the fans.

The continued support from so many fans through the Lifeline is truly remarkable and to the envy of most clubs in Scotland.

Since the introduction in October 2013, the Centenary Club Lifeline has contributed in excess of £800,000 to the football club, which is an incredible achievement for a club of our size. On top of that, well over £120,000 worth of prizes has been shared with Lifeline members.

Whilst we can be immensely proud of what we have achieved so far, the job isn’t done yet. DAFC belong in the top league of Scottish Football but getting there is a challenge on and off the pitch. It is achievable by continuing to work closely together and financially assisting the club as much as we can.

On The Park
The Lifeline has assisted in allowing the management team to assemble a group of players who have demonstrated many times that they are more than capable of competing at Championship level. We are excited at the new signings already this close season and look forward to welcoming a few more too. The strength and depth of the Manager’s squad is possible because of the contribution you, the fans, make via the Centenary Club Lifeline.

The recent completion of the gym at East End Park is already paying dividends, with players and staff commenting on how much this is helping the players with their fitness levels.

Off The Park
The Lifeline continues to support the football club with various initiatives that assist the club going forward in the positive progressive manner that it has done since the relaunch in 2013.

As always, the stadium requires constant and continued maintenance, something the Centenary Club Lifeline has been heavily involved in supporting.

Recently, there was a requirement to clear out the gutters in the North Stand. If this work wasn’t carried out, this would have caused more damage to other areas of the stand. Unfortunately a set of ladders wasn’t suffice for the job, so the Centenary Club Lifeline enabled Kevin and Willie (the groundsmen) to attend training and gain a qualification that now means they can use various types of specialist access platforms. We then brought in a Mounted Platform capable of accessing the affected areas of the North Stand, allowing Kevin and Willie to carry out require repair work.

The Centenary Club Lifeline would like to take this opportunity to thank all members who have contributed in the past and for those who still contribute to the Centenary Club Lifeline, you really do make a difference to the club we all love. We would also like to thank Michael Mlotkiewicz, the staff at East Park and Craig Brown for assisting us throughout the season and look forward to working with them again over the coming season.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish the players and staff the best of luck for this coming season in the League and Cups. The league is going to be very competitive but maybe, just maybe, this is our year….

Come and visit our stall at the Open Day on Sunday 8 July at the Glen Pavilion. You may even win a prize! Our committee members will be on hand to answer any questions and support any new membership applications.

Alternatively you can fill out one of the paper applications, these can be found in club shop or you can join online via –
