Ross Drummond a hit at the Wee Rangers

Ross Drummond v Stranraer

Ross Drummond made a couple of appearances for the Pars in January but after Danny Grainger arrived at Dunfermline, he accepted a loan deal to Berwick Rangers. Since arriving at Shielfield Park, Drum has been an ever present and if as expected he plays against Peterhead on Saturday that will be the eleventh successive start for the English club. He told the website that the move had been a good one:-

"Playing ninety minutes every week has been the best thing about it. I haven't missed a minute since I have been down there. That was the whole point of it, going out and getting game time. It is still a good standard even it means going down a division.

ROSS DRUMMOND

"It has been a good team to go to because they try to play football. It has been a bit similar to the under 20s where they are allowed a few over age players. Most teams have young boys and some experienced players who have dropped down from higher teams."

ROSS DRUMMONDBerwick Rangers train at Haddington on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Ross has trained at Pitreavie on Mondays and Fridays at his parent club.

Ross' manager Colin Cameron has played him at his favoured left back role only moving him forward in the most recent game against Queens Park. The play offs now look outside Berwick's reach since Stirling Albion won 4-0 at Peterhead last weekend. It would take an eight goal swing with Stirling losing to Clyde at home and Berwick winning at home to Peterhead for Ross to make the play offs with Berwick.

"Stirling have done well with the vital game them beating us 2-1. We just struggled to catch them after that. I feel that I have improved from playing every week, both defensively and going forward. It is always good to play with different teams with different ways, you learn more."

What happens next season has not yet been determined for the 20 year old:-

"It depends whether we go up or not and what the financial situation is. I will find out at the end of the season."
