Dunfermline Athletic are proud to host an exhibition by renowned football artist Paul Town.
It is being held in the Purvis Suite between 14.00 and 16.00 on Friday 23 June.
This is entitled ‘Those European Nights’ . It celebrates the twenty-two European opponents that Dunfermline Athletic have met in competition thus far. The record is thirteen victories for the Pars and nine defeats.
It is particularly appropriate as Dunfermline host FC St Pauli from Hamburg at East End Park at 19.00 the same day. This time it is is a friendly, but in the future who knows for these two great clubs?
Visitors will be able to see the first four original paintings in the series. These are The Pars against Everton, Athletic Bilbao, VfB Stuttgart and Girondins de Bordeaux. They can buy limited edition prints of these paintings and begin a collection which will grow to encompass all twenty-two opposition teams. There will also be other examples of Paul’s work including East End Park captured in the halcyon days of the 1960s. Members of Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust will be present to chat about the history of the Club.
