Dunfermline City Fan Zone Set to Host Free Open Air Movie Night brought to you by Babcock

Dunfermline City Fan Zone is thrilled to announce one of the largest FREE events of the summer. Utilising the fan zone infrastructure of our two 28m2 festival-style LED screens KDM Group East End Park is set to be transformed for one night only into an outdoor movie theatre. 

Taking place on Friday June 21st, the evening promises to be a fun experience and is set to attract people of all ages from all over Fife and further afield to watch two fantastic movies under the evening sky.

The primary objective is to ensure accessibility for all and thanks to our main event sponsor Babcock the event will be free of charge to all attendees, inclusive of complimentary transport to and from the stadium from any location in Scotland serviced by the Fan Zones official transport partner, Stagecoach.

Schedule:
5pm | Doors open to the public.
6pm | Thelma The Unicorn – When a rare pink and glitter-filled moment of fate makes Thelma the Pony’s wish of being a unicorn come true, she rises to instant international pop-superstar stardom, but at an unexpected cost.
8pm | The Beautiful Game – Advocates to end homelessness, organise an annual tournament for Homeless men to compete in a series of football matches known as The Homeless World Cup.

The event will kick off with a family friendly movie Thelma The Unicorn, followed by the main feature, “The Beautiful Game.” In partnership with Street Soccer Scotland and the homeless world cup, the aim is to raise awareness of their initiatives in Fife, the opportunities open to be involved at varying levels, and through a bucket collection at the stadium on the night to raise money to fund Scotland’s national team travelling to Seoul for this year’s Homeless World Cup competition.

To further enhance the event attendees will also to be able to enjoy a wide array of activities and amenities including popcorn, candy floss, sweets, drinks, food vendors, a fully licensed bar, and a dedicated kids fan zone.

The movie event is part of the Dunfermline City Fan Zone which will see the stadium screen the 3 Scotland group matches and then host a series events across the 10 days such as other group matches, a best of Scotland food & drink festival, and other children’s and community focussed events.

Acts Definitely Oasis, Fools gold, and DJ Mojo will add to the atmosphere playing sets before the 3 Scotland matches. 

2 x Festival style LED Screens positioned on the side of the pitch facing the Norrie McCathie Stand.

  • Seating in the Norrie McCathie Stand for up to 3000 spectators with dedicated family section.
