Dunfermline U19s v St Johnstone U19s

MATCH PICTURES
Just like the first team the Under 19s face a double header against St Johnstone this week. The first of the League Cup fixtures was played at the Fleet Ground, Rosyth on Friday afternoon and brought no fewer than eight goals.

The visitors got off to a great start with two early goals, both coming from long through balls. The Pars defence were marked absent with Lee Graham being turned for the first and a mix up letting Saints chip in at the second.

Dunfermline U19s v St Johnstone U19s

Lee GRAHAM made up by heading home a Lewis Turner corner from the right to get the Pars back in the game at 1-2. In 24 minutes Jordan White chested down for Chris Lennon and his dipping shot just cleared the crossbar.

For Saints Jonothan Lindsay swung in a free kick that Colin `Coco` Wilson headed on target but Craig Bald held. At the other end Jed Hiroz shot wide and Graham blasted over the bar from a corner on the left.

Three minutes from the break Blair McWhirter slipped John MacDonald the ball on the right and his pass to Conner Schivone allowed him to release a good effort that Duffy tipped over his bar. Then right on half time Richard McIntosh floated in a free kick from the left touchline and in an attempt to clear the ball off the line Rees SMITH played the ball into his own net meaning at the turnaround the Pars were two goals behind.

Lewis Turner challenges

Under 17s Aaron Scott and Steven Leslie replaced Jordan White and Conner Schivone 12 minutes into the second half. Within a minute Leslie was pushed to the ground by Wilson, living up to his nickname and Harry McGREGOR assumed responsibility for the spot kick, converting it to the bottom left.

Harry McGregor scores from the spot in 58th minute

In 62 minutes Leslie headed a Smith cross high and Turner exchanged passes with Lennon before releasing a shot that was deflected over the bar. Two minutes later however Leslie slotted in the equaliser. Great work by Turner and Smith kept the ball in play on the left and Smith laced the ball towards the corner flag for Lennon to run on to. Lennon evaded Hammill`s challenge and he was in to switch the ball back to LESLIE in front of goal and he made no mistake to accept the chance.

Steven Leslie makes it 3-3 - 64th minute

Having lost their lead for the first time in the match, St Johnstone were not for giving up. McIntosh headed over the top from a corner and next May belted his opportunity over the bar. Four minutes from time it looked like St Johnstone has sealed a win when HAMMILL headed in a Norrie corner but there was more to follow.

With one minute remaining MacDonald picked out LENNON and he advanced on goal to finish in style. The well earned draw was assured after a last gasp block by McGregor.

Chris Lennon nets fourth goal in 89th minute
