"That was my first game pre season.  I've missed 10 days training with a hamstring and to come back and get 45 minutes under my belt and two goals was good.  That's part of my game I have to work on is to sniff out goals and to try and stay in the box this season and get a few goals.

"I'm just pleased to be back its frustrating watching the boys playing the last couple of friendlies and not playing so hopefully get another game on Thursday against Nottingham Forest.

"I think we have a very strong squad, the gaffer has added to it by bringing in two quality players with Stephen Glass and Kevin Harper which will strengthen the squad further.  We have got options all over the pitch and these games are just fitness.  We're hoping to go into the season flying and make a great start.

"It's 10 days to the first league game and I'm just desperate to get another couple of games under my belt and get my sharpness and fitness up.I was pleased to be playing tonight and get a game under my belt.  I spoke to the manager and the physio before the game and it was agreed to get 45 minutes and hopefully get as much of the game on Thursday as I can and if I get 90 minutes under my belt I'll be happy."
