Statement re Players November Salaries
Tuesday, 4th Dec 2012Player receive part payment with balance to be paid as soon as possible
Further to recent reports, DAFC can confirm that players have been paid 37% of their November salary as the Club manages temporary cash flow shortfalls
Players received the balance of their October salary at the end of last week (24th November) following the home game against Dumbarton.
However, in meeting HMRC payments, the Club is facing another temporary shortfall which it is working to bridge and is confident that the players will be paid in full as soon as possible.
The DAFC spokesperson said: "December is the month when our cash flow situation improves significantly with ongoing Christmas parties, a sell-out 'Lads Day' at our home game on the 15th December, Christmas Day lunches and Festive Boxing Day match against Falkirk, Hogmanay parties and pre sales for our Festive Derby on the 2nd January against Raith Rovers.
"The players have been hugely understanding and supportive of our efforts and we would also like to pay tribute to the fans who have demonstrated their backing of the Club by coming along to our last home game and their fundraising efforts on the day, £4k of which has now been handed to the club from the Pars Supporters Trust and Pars Alive to pay 40% of the U20's salaries.
"While the last few weeks have been tough, it has galvanized efforts from supporters, staff, suppliers and players to fight for their Club. We need to continue with this positive approach until the end of December when we can get to a better place financially and implement our restructuring plans to drive the Club forward."
