Stephen Husband reflects on the contrasting moods in camps after draw at Glebe Park

STEPHEN HUSBAND

After the game at Brechin, Stephen Husband was disappointed that the sound of music was not beating out of the Pars dressing room.

STEPHEN HUSBAND
"They are playing music in their dressing room and we are sitting with disappointed heads in ours. That reflects the game.

"I think we had enough chances in the game to kill it off.

Stephen Husband
"You can say a million times 1-0 doesn't suit you when it gives the other team the chance to get back into the game.

"That is what Brechin did, they got the goal back and they are happy with their point."

The visitors went in 1-0 up at the interval after a first half that could have yielded more goals.

Stephen Husband

"We had played some good football. We probably started better in this game than other times this season.

"We felt good 1-0 up at half time, you can't say that you have won, you are just half way there but we were doing a good job.

Stephen Husband

"We started the first and second half good for ten minutes but just fell into their hands.

"Then we started playing the way they were playing. That's where it went wrong for me.

// Stephen Husband

"We went long and stopped playing the football through midfield that we were in the first half.

"It just allowed them back into the game.

It was a match that caused referee Alan Muir to flash eight yellow cards, Stephen reflected:-

"It was not a dirty game but it was one with the odd robust tackle and heated tempers.

Stephen Husband

"If you look at the stats you might think it was that kind of game. The referee blew a lot, gave a lot of free kicks."

The 22 year old midfielder felt that both sides were guilty of giving the referee opportunities to award free kicks:-

Stephen Husband

Maybe we didn't need to give so many free kicks away but the boys took the yellow cards even though there wasn't too much in it. "

Stephen Husband

The Pars now face consecutive home matches against Airdrieonians and Ayr United when Stephen and his team mates hope to get back to collecting maximum points:-

Stephen Husband

"We have a home game next week and we need to make sure that our home form is good. It is okay picking up points away at hard grounds like Brechin but when you play well you have to take the three points.

// Stephen Husband

 We didn't do that on Saturday so we just have to kick on with our home games and get three points next week."
