Show Your Support Saturday

Friday, 16th Nov 2012

Get down to East End Park on Saturday, 24th November and show the Pars how much you care!

DAFC and Pars Alive have joined together to encourage as many people as possible to attend the Pars v Dumbarton match on Saturday, 24th November at East End Park.

Show Your Support Saturday aims to fill the stands with fans cheering on their favourite team, demonstrating their commitment by their presence on the day and by purchasing tickets which generates valuable funds for the Club.

Show Your Support Saturday is the brainchild of Pars fan, Scott Mullen, who is a regular contributor to Dafc.net,

"With only one home game this month and against a club with one of smallest away supports in the league, it's important to get as many Pars fans through the gates as possible. Show your Support Saturday is a way to unite the fans and give both the players a lift, and just as importantly, help the club with cash flow in what is a difficult month. It would be great to see a significant increase in the crowd for this game to show just how much Dunfermline Athletic means to so many people."

Scott's idea grew and developed with the support of the Club, dafc.net, and the Pars Supporters Trust, under the Pars Alive umbrella.

Rodney Shearer, DAFC Deputy Chairman added,

"Fans are the lifeblood of any football club - their support is crucial to maintain a healthy, thriving football club in the good times and the bad. We are really chuffed that Scott and Pars Alive have come up with this initiative, it shows how much DAFC means to the supporters and it's a great practical suggestion too. This is just one of several good ideas outlined at the recent very productive Pars Alive steering group meeting."

Scott added,

"There has been a lot of hard work gone into this by many people, helping to make it come alive and without them, this initiative would be nothing but another idea. "
