Ryan calls for concentration

"I hope they do well but hopefully we get the three points on Saturday."

Ryan Wallace scored in the match winner in the first match of the league season at East Fife, the club he left to join Dunfermline in the summer of 2012 and if he gets the chance he would be delighted to grab another.

"If it pops up and I get the chance hopefully I could stick it away. We go into the game looking for three points, not just for me to score. Three points would be valuable at the moment after getting beat 4-0 last time out.

"Getting beat is always hard to take but with the needle between the two clubs from the play offs, 4-0 away to Forfar is not that great. 4-0 away to any team is not that great but the Manager made us watch the game back and we dominated the game massively. We had a lot of possession, you can see it as plain as day. We actually had the ball but we just didn't move it quick enough.

Ryan Wallace v Forfar

"The boys did an analysis of the game. There are negatives to take from the game when its 4-0 but there are also positives to take. Ross Millen put in so many different crosses but we just did not attack them. If there is going to be four goals, it will be 4-0 to us this week.

"Tough to take but we just need to dust ourselves off. These things happen in football and you just need to get on with it.

"East Fife have signed four or five players including experienced players like Robbie Neilson. We have a great squad, a young squad and it doesn't matter if you have experience or not in this league anyone can beat anyone. Look through the league - there are a lot of teams with experience at this level. At the end of the day it is about who turns up and plays the football on the day. I'm sure the boys will turn up on Saturday and put in a good performance for the fans."

Ryan Wallace v Stranraer

Ryan has only missed out playing in one of Dunfermline's 12 matches this season, who does he feel needs feared?

"I wouldn't want to bad mouth other teams, it is more about what we have done. In the league games that we were beaten by Arbroath and the game we drew at Brechin we felt that we were in full control of the game. We let Brechin back into the game when we could have been leading two or three nil from our first half display. Against Arbroath we missed some great chances in the second half to kill the game off and they went and nicked the game.

"You are looking round and we have still to play Rangers but having played everyone else I wouldn't say that there is anyone to be scared of. If we play to our full potential as you saw against Ayr it can be a walk in the park.

"We can go out and make it tough for ourselves but the one thing we need to stop is giving teams one goal of a start in the first five or ten minutes. You can't come back every week and score two or three goals to try and win the game. It is just defensive errors, switching off. It is not as if anyone is having a bad game, it is a lapse of concentration."

Ryan Wallace v East Fife

Ryan has scored four goals this season

"Scoring goals here has not been as easy as it was at East Fife, I don't know why that is, I am moving about, into channels and trying to create stuff. I probably need to stay more central and try and get on the scoresheet more often. If I can provide a goal then I am quite happy to do that for the team. I do not set myself any targets, I just get on with it. Hopefully we take three points and the aim is to get promotion at the end of the year.

"I wouldn't mind another goal against my former team but East Fife has changed dramatically since I was there. There are new owners at the club and there are only one or two boys there that I know now. They are a small club but a great club that was well run when I was there. I hope they do well but hopefully we get the three points on Saturday."
