Preview Hamilton Accies

IRN BRU First Division: Saturday`s fixture could be the most important in the 128 year history of Dunfermline Athletic. Come and help "Save the Pars".

Shaun Byrne v Hamilton

Saturday`s fixture could be the most important in the 128 year history of Dunfermline Athletic as they try to prove to the Interim Administrator, Bryan Jackson, that they have the financial support of a greater fan base than has been witnessed in the 15 home games that have already been hosted at East End Park this season.  All Pars fans not intending to come along to the match against Hamilton Accies are asked to cancel their plans for Saturday afternoon and get along the Halbeath Road.  Put KY12 7RB in your sat nav if you have forgotten the way!

Jim Jefferies young side put in a sterling performance to fight back for a draw last Saturday at Livingston and Pars fans everywhere are asked to support what would be a miraculous recovery to save the Club. Your attendance could be crucial, every fan (and friends) counts.

Dunfermline's second goal v Hamilton

Fortunes have fluctuated between the two camps but overall the Fifers have had a slight advantage in the 67 previous league matches. As a consequence of the humiliating 5-0 drubbing in October 2007 and a 1-1 draws in March 2008 and December last year, the last league home win over Hamilton was in 1995.

Hamilton Accies will be hoping to extend the gap between them and Cowdenbeath in the play off spot. Dunfermline will be hoping to put points on the board in anticipation of a points deduction from the SFL that could pitch them down beside Cowdenbeath.

Hamilton`s home doubled header against Dumbarton yielded 3 points with one game lost and the next won. They won at Falkirk in their last away game and before that took a point away from Cowdenbeath. In fact they have only failed to take something from an away game at Partick since they won 2-0 at East End Park.

Dunfermline` Athletics last league win was at Hamilton on 9th February when goals from Andy Kirk and Chris Kane secured the points. That is ten games back however and the Pars have only won once at home (v Raith Rovers) since the end of November. With a larger than average crowd expected it would be good to send them home happy.
