Potter Post Partick

Tuesday, 25th Nov 2014

U20s coach, John Potter felt that his team portrayed a great attitude in winning 6-1.

Goals on Go Pro Camera

"It was really really good - even the older ones that came in who were left out at the weekend. From minute one they pressed the ball, passed it well and created loads of chances.

"For a brief five to ten minute spell once we went a few goals we didn't do the right thing but we turned it around in the second half. We played well and I am delighted with the score.

"Andy Geggan and Michael Moffat came in and both scored but the way they played and their attitude just showed their professionalism. That rubbed off on the other boys and their link up was great. It is important for me and the manager."

Jim Jefferies watched from the stand and it took Dunfermline a few minutes to get going but once they got going there was no holding them back.

"Once we got a goal we were pretty dominant for the first half. We wanted to get more goals and we did that. Even after we made our substitutions we got going again, overall I was really happy with the performance. There were good goals, plenty chances created and defended well.

"I was disappointed with the goal Partick got but really everybody from one to eleven were very good today. Lewis Spence and Finn Graham - their fitness is incredible in the middle of the park. There is great energy and great attitude from them to be able to do that week after week; that is a real positive.

"Cammy McClair is quick and strong once he gets away from people, he does it very well. We have been working on his final pass and he did well when he came on."

Sorel Chemin bagged a double and Potts added:-

"He finishes when he gets a chance. He is improving his positional sense and different parts of his game but when he gets the ball in front of goal he scores. We will continue working with him and see how we get on.

"That's five wins in a row now for the Under 20s and the ones who have played before and the ones who have come in today were excellent so there are some decisions to be made on Thursday or Friday for the game on Saturday."

Next SPFL Development League game is against Falkirk at East End Park on Tuesday 2nd December, kick off 6.00pm
