Pat Clarke returns to East End Park
Thursday, 15th Jul 2010Former Par Pat Clarke leaves Dundee to sign a two year deal at East End Park.
Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of striker Pat Clarke from Dundee on a two year deal. Manager Jim McIntyre commented:-
"He was a player that we tried to get last year but he was out of our reach. Gordon Chisholm now has five strikers at Dundee so we made a call and we are very pleased that he will be returning to the club where he played as a youth.
"He caused us trouble in his days at Clyde, so we hope that he can come here and cause others problems. Pat will play on Saturday against Manchester United XI and we hope that he can form a relationship with others who will be playing upfront for us - Andy Kirk, Steven McDougall and David Graham"
Now 25, Pat returns to East End Park for his second spell after playing in the Youth System, becoming full time in season 2003-04. He left in February 2005 to join Raith Rovers before playing for Berwick Rangers, Cowdenbeath, Clyde and Dundee.
It wasn't until he moved to Cowdenbeath for the 2006-07 season that Pat played regularly and in 54 games for the Blue Brazil scored 23 goals.
