Pars Supporters Trust agree to fund team’s Scottish Cup trip
Friday, 25th Nov 2016Dunfermline Athletic were delighted when the Pars Supporters Trust came forward last week to offer to cover the costs for the first-team’s overnight accommodation, ahead of the William Hill Scottish Cup Third Round against Buckie Thistle on Saturday 26th November.
Club Chairman, Ross McArthur said: “This is a generous offer from the Pars Supporters Trust and one we were very happy to accept. It will give Allan and the team the best chance of helping us progress into the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup. The Supporter’s Trust have contributed in various ways since the Pars United takeover in 2013. Playing their part in can collections, holding events, volunteering in the Club Shop and helping with the maintenance of the stadium”.
Drew Main from the Pars Supporters Trust added: “The PST are delighted to play a huge part in and around the club by providing funds for specific projects or events. It`s not only the team which benefits from the PST`s donations. We`ve also provided support to Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters Group and the Young Pars in recent times.
Membership of the PST costs £20 per year and the more members we have, the more we can help the club.
