Allan Johnston felt that his side was unlucky not to win the game:-

"I don`t think there was much between the teams in the first half but I thought in the second half we were the team on the ascendancy. We created the chances and the keeper pulled off a lot of good saves.

"We defended really well, we looked solid and they didn`t cut us open very often. As the game went on it looked as though we were the only team that was going to win."

Asked about Declan McManus` bad luck, he could have had a hattrick on another day:-

"I thought the two strikers caused them problems upfront. Dec got in good positions for the chances and was really unlucky because he has been a good run of form, scoring a few goals recently. He will be gutted that he didn`t add to his tally today but the good thing is the positions he took up and the chances we created against a top team. We are frustrated not to get the three points."

The defence had to be changed from the one that had achieved two clean sheets in the last two matches due to Lee Ashcroft`s absence through illness. Nevertheless another shut out was achieved giving Lee Robinson 270 minutes without losing a goal.

"It was great to get a clean sheet, it is not a bad replacement when your captain can come in to the back four. Clean sheets are important in this league, it gives a foundation to build on because we are always likely, with the chances we create to score goals."

The result against the second top team affirms the manager`s belief that there is nothing between the teams in the Ladbrokes Championship:-

"We have obviously to build on that. We have a hard period coming up but we are more than capable of getting results against the top teams and we want to finish as high up the league as possible. It is important now that we go on a run."

Aware that the Inverness Caley Thistle`s home win over Queen of the South took them to sixth place and within three points of third placed Dunfermline, AJ said:-

"You have to look at the performances of late. They have been good performances, clean sheets and we were creating chances. Normally we would have scored today but there are a lot of positives to take from the game."
