Manager on Friday

18/03/11: JM- "We have got to look at ourselves and really our final ball was the one that let us down.

Mothers day 2011

Jim McIntyre reckons his approach to the match against Stirling on Saturday will be "pretty much the same but with the added finishing touch!

"Stirling have a couple of players back from suspension, it's a totally different game but we have to approach it in the same manner.  If we play as well as we did the other night then I am confident we will win the game.

"We have got to look at ourselves and really our final ball was the one that let us down.  On a few occasions our final finish, the finishing touch but they also had a huge slice of lady luck the other night. If we were to do all that again, then I'm quite confident we would win the game."

The Manager was of the opinion that it was as good football as his team has played since the first three months of the season.

"I think everybody who was at the game witnessed how well we played.Sometimes you can think what was wrong there, but we know fine well what was wrong? We just didn't put the ball in the net.Up until that we were excellent.

"The standard of performance was that high, albeit the finishing touch.  When you strip it back and look at it, which we have done, we were really pleased with the play.

"Their goal was defendable, we shouldn't have given away that goal, it should have been cleared, it was a poor defensive header that then allowed the boy to get a shot in but other than that I was absolutely delighted with them.  We are not going to be that unlucky again that's for sure."

All that on a pitch at Stirling that was unusually green for the time in the season:-

"I don't think that it is any coincidence that is the best we have played, because the surface was so good.  The pitch was excellent, it is the best we have played on for a long time."

The Manager confirmed that Nick Phinn, and Neil McGregor along with Steven Bell were definitely out.Dowie and Rutkiewicz trained today and would wait to see if there were any after effects.  He added:-

"Steven is coming along, and is where he should be.He has had an ultrasound on it and they are 95% sure it has fully healed, so he could be ready for the next stage in his rehab.  Andy Dowie had his injection and rested if for the week, trained this morning with no ill effects."
