Manager on Friday

11/03/11: JM - "We have eleven cup finals between now and the end of the season. We have just got to take that one game at a time and see where it takes us.

Jim McIntyre described his players as being dusted down and ready to go again:-

"It is not a game that is going to win or lose the league. The bottom line is that there is still a lot of football to be played after it but we all recognise the importance of the game. We know how important it is to go there and get a positive result. That is what we will be trying to do.

"The boys trained really well this morning and their spirits are good. We know that we have let ourselves down in the last two home games and they have the chance to go to Falkirk and try and put that right.

"We have had a great reaction following Tuesday night's result; the boys have been fantastic - the one thing I have got is an honest bunch. They are the first to put their hands up when they have not been at it and we weren't at it on Tuesday night. I suppose the sign is 'at least they got something out of the game' whereas we gave ourselves too many mountains to climb the previous Saturday. We created chances but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot."

Ross County may well have improved since playing them at Victoria Park two weeks before but the Manager felt that was hard to gauge when his team hadn't played so well:-

"Obviously they have taken a lift from a new manager coming in. They have still not won a lot of games - they drew with Stirling, they have drawn with us and just the previous game before that they beat Falkirk but as I have said all along, they have good players who have underachieved this season.

"That has gone now and we can't let that affect us. We have eleven cup finals between now and the end of the season. We have just got to take that one game at a time and see where it takes us.

"Falkirk are a good side, make no bones about it. We have all had a wee stutter of late - the three teams have not put a great run together. The only team to have done that is Dundee. Morton have had a couple of good results as well but outwith that there has been inconsistency from all the teams up there. That's credit to the other teams in the league - we have no divine right to go and beat these teams. It is a tough tough league and it will be that way until the end of the season.

"We have just got to look after our own stall and get back to winning ways. That's what we will be trying to do."

The Manager hopes Kevin Rutkiewicz will recover for the trip to the Falkirk Stadium, Andy Dowie is responding to treatment and hopes to be ready from Monday onwards, Neil McGregor still has a couple of weeks to go and Nick Phinn's calf is still giving him a bit of a problem.

Macca praised the support given by the travelling support this seaason:-

"In the big games they have turned out in their numbers and helped drive the team on and I am sure it will be the same on Saturday. Fans are the same all over the world - you have to give them something to get them going and get them behind you. It is a two way street and we recognise that. It is a huge game and a game that every player wants to play in; the players will be up for it, the fans will be up for it and hopefully both sets of players can put on a good spectacle with us come on top."
