Speaking to the website at lunchtime on Friday, Jim McIntyre recognises that Dundee will want to forget about their problems for the visit of Dunfermline on Saturday.

"They will be well up for the game and if you look at the boys who are left they are a good side. It was a very good team that they put out at Stirling last week. Games against Dundee are always difficult games, they have been back in normal training this week and will be focussed on the game. They will be ready to get on with playing football.

"We are on good form and it is up to us to go there and try and win the game. There have been a lot of games in Dundee where we felt we have deserved the points. Just look back to last season where we deserved the points but never got them. Its all about putting your chances away. If we can play as well as we played up there last time then we will do alright."

The Manager had better news to report on the injury front.

"McGregor, McCann and Woods are all back." Calum Woods picked up a knock in the match against Ross County although he did last the full 90 minutes. Jim McIntyre was pleased with the way his team performed last Saturday and with the character they showed to stick in and win the game.

"I thought we played exceptionally well especially in the first half and were a treat to watch at times. We knew we should have had the game over by half time, the game is about putting the ball away and we never did that. 2-1 is never a comfortable scoreline and credit to County, they came out, changed it and scored right away. Then we had to show our mettle and for 10 to 15 minutes we had to grind away. In the last 15 minutes we started to put them under pressure, got the ball and continued to try and create. We did that and got our rewards"

It was another match that the Pars came back from being a goal down.

"Its definitely important and there are certainly games where you are not going to get it your own way. If you don't take your chances and other teams do then that is just what happens. It was most pleasing to see, not just once, but twice. To lose the first goal was a sore one but there was a great response from the players to go in ahead at half time. To come out and lose a goal again was disappointing but they showed their character and came back again. The spirit is excellent."
