SPL Ambition: "I am not sure how long I will be here but I am aware that Dunfermline are short of strikers so hopefully I can get another game and sc

"I came for the first week of pre season here but I have played four games for Dundee in the last couple of weeks so Jim called me back and asked me today. I haven't signed for anybody as yet; I scored four goals in four games; including two up north on tour. They wanted me to play a game for them tomorrow night but obviously I wanted to hold on and try and get a Premier Division club if I can."

While at Dundee Keith scored twice in a 5-0 pre season friendly win over Stirling Albion then one in each of the matches against Cove Rangers and Keith.

"I played with Shamrock Rovers but have been in America for the last four years. I have just returned from America but I played previously with the Irish Under 19 squad and with the Irish College team this summer in Turkey. I will just have to wait and see what Jim Leishman or Alex Rae thinks."

Keith who is a centre forward joined Shamrock Rovers after the former Par Noel Hunt left but he did meet up with him last weekend when they both finished the game in which Dundee beat Dundee United 1-0 at Dens Park. The 24 year old from Athlone has been playing in the US College League for the past four years in North Carolina for UNC Wilmington Seahawks is keen to play in Scotland instead of taking up some of the offers that he has had from teams in his native country.

"I am not sure how long I will be here but I am aware that Dunfermline are short of strikers so hopefully I can get another game and score a few goals."

For the player who came on in 48 minutes in place of Noel Whelan, the West Brom match was a great experience:-

"I enjoyed the game, it didn't have that full intensity that you get in the full season, the tackles weren't really flying in but it was good to get the fitness up. They moved the ball a lot faster than Dundee United did but I found they gave you a little more space. It was not all crash and bang like it was against the Highland League teams."
