Former Skipper enjoying being a fan

Former Pars captain Scott Wilson has been a regular attender at East End Park since he returned from Australia and he wasn't going to miss out on the derby game at home to Falkirk. He felt that Tuesday night's result was a better one for Raith Rovers than for Dunfermline:-

"I enjoyed the game, it was a really good match. I felt Falkirk were the better team in the first half but the Pars got themselves back into it and could maybe have shaded it in the end when Falkirk sat back a wee bit. But it's a great result for Raith Rovers but if anything better for Dunfermline than it was for Falkirk. I felt Falkirk wanted to win to keep themselves in the title challenge but nobody is out of it yet."

After joining North Queensland Fury in the Australian A-League in 2009, Scott incurred a knee injury that curtailed his appearances for the Townsville team to just four games. Now Scott is waiting on word to go into the Victoria Hospital in Glasgow for another knee operation. "If I could get rid of the pain in my knee I would still be able to play but at the minute I just take one day at a time. I have been out a while but I have enjoyed going to games and watching them because I had never ever done that before."

The 33 year old plans to 'do his badges' in the summer and hopes to continue his football career in some capacity or other.
