Development Squad departures

Friday, 5th May 2017

"It is never nice having to make decisions about the younger lads.

In addition to first team squad members Ben Richards-Everton, Lewis Spence and Euan Spark four of the Development squad, Reece Duncan, Robbie Crawford, Johnny Galloway (above) and Evan Horne (below) have been released by the club.

The Pars gaffer, Allan Johnston said it was a disappointing time of the season

"It is never nice having to make decisions about the younger lads. That is probably what is wrong with Scottish football in a way, you are having to make decisions on players who are really young.

"If like other leagues in the world, there was a lot more money you would manage to hang on to boys for longer. Sometimes you make the best decision for them to go and forward their career. That might be a step back to go two steps forward.

"We wish them all well. They are really good lads with a great attitude. They just need to make sure that they don`t get too disappointed and keep their heads up."
