Dunfermline Press article 27th March 2008

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club

Following the disappointing article appearing in today's Dunfermline Press, DAFC Directors met with Stuart McGann, Operations Director of the newspaper this morning, to request an apology for publishing an article based on a "credible" source that could not be substantiated.

Dunfermline Press had made no attempt whatsoever to obtain factual information from the Club's Chief Executive.

The content of the story regarding "administration" has no foundation whatsoever. In fact, the Club are actively sourcing a number of new players to strengthen the squad for next season in order to win the Irn-Bru SFL First Division league in 2008/09 and return to the Clydesdale Bank's Scottish Premier League.

All enquiries regarding this release should be directed to Karen Brown on 01383 745907.
