Dunfermline Athletic Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ronald Weymes to the Board of Directors.
Ronnie is a local businessman and has been a devoted fan for many years. He brings with him an enthusiasm, passion for the team and its success.Mr. Weymes (54) is boss of local company Multi Valve Technology Limited, who are involved in a variety of sponsorship arrangements with the Club. He said on his appointment:-
"The possibility of becoming a director was first mentioned a while ago and now my business is pretty well settled I'm in a position to do this.
"It'll take a bit of getting used to watching Dunfermline in a blazer and tie from the directors box but the club is close to my heart ?I was actually a ball boy at East End Park in the 60s ?and joining the board is something I want to do."
Weymes' firm is based in Dunfermline although he has offices in Dubai, Tehran, Nigeria and London.
Speaking on behalf of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, Jim Leishman said he was delighted with the news. The Director of Football said:-
"Ronnie has been a major sponsor as well as supporter for many years, he is a welcome member on the board and I am sure he will be great asset."
