Movin’ on Up

After a fantastic season in SPFL League 1, culminating in winning the league title, we now look forward to a well-deserved return to the SPFL Championship next season. There is no doubt that the step up will be a big challenge, and as a club we aim to compete but at the same time manage our resources carefully. Therefore, we have tried to balance as fairly as possible the increased ticket costs, maintaining a competitive playing squad and not making tickets too expensive.

The season ticket cost next season will be exactly the same as when our club last competed in the SPFL Championship three years ago. We continue to try to make the price of the tickets affordable, across a range of age groups and will once again offer an early pricing discount until Tuesday 31st May 2016. However, the early bird discount will be marginally less this season, compared to previous seasons. The early bird discount “cost” our club £22,000 last season, but nonetheless the Board fully recognise that it is designed to offer our loyal season ticket holders a deserved benefit for early payment.

As per previous seasons, we will unfortunately not be in a position to offer a monthly payment plan for season ticket purchases next season. Supporters can of course use their own credit card facilities to spread the cost, if they so wish. However, once again if you normally pay for your season ticket by a credit card or debit card purely for ease, it would greatly assist our Club if you could possibly arrange to pay by cash or cheque to avoid unnecessary credit handling charges imposed upon our Club by our merchant services provider.

Allan Johnston’s first season at East End Park certainly proved to be a “magic” one, as we met our pre-season target of winning the League Championship. On many occasions during the course of the season he has commented on how the success was achieved by us all sticking together, and by the supporters being the 12th man last season.

The Manager commented “I did not realise how passionate and loyal the Pars fans were before I came to our club, but I do now! I cannot thank you and your fellow fans enough for the support you have given me in my first season here.

It is so important to our club to maintain your loyalty as a season ticket holder, as it allows us to plan with greater certainty next season particularly with regard to our playing squad. We are trying to build as good a squad as possible following our promotion, and your ongoing commitment by renewing your season ticket early for next season allows us the best possible chance to do so.

I hope that we can again welcome you to East End Park in season 2016/17 as a season ticket holder and together we can keep the positivity and retain momentum we have built up at our club.

Thanks for your fantastic support of our Club and the backing you have given me and my players all season who represent DAFC every week. We all look forward to your continuing support on the field, home and away next season as we face the challenge that awaits us in the Championship”.
